  • I’m after a 48cm or 44cm (ladies size) myself, but will keep an eye out for smallish frames.

  • Anyone got a BB30, 170mm, 110bcd set of cranks they can lend me?

The SubFive has a 40t direct mount chainring, I have a race coming up that’ll require the big-dog 52t. The easiest way to swap chainrings is to swap cranks. It’ll be used once, for 4km, then returned with added beer.

    Anyone?

  • Should do. Are you going weight weenie on it?

  • Nah, it's just better for aerobar routing and flimsy reader.

    I have a race coming up that’ll require the big-dog 52t.

    Ah yes, Catford.

Presume you've heard about the national?

  • It’s not segmented nokon type cable, looks like normal outer but it’s fiberglass or something instead of wound / braided metal.

52t is for the Brighton Mitre one in a couple of weeks.

What, where the national is? 2 minute job so I’m gonna stay local this year.

  • Just saw the FB! Drama! Shock! Mon dieu!

  • Dan Evans gets a pretty raw deal - he decided not to target the national as it's on a course that doesn't suit him. Then it moves to the course that he won his first title on...

  • 3 seconds off last year’s time for the Kingston Wheelers HC on Leith Hill this morning. Good enough for second, couldn’t retain the LFGSS crown though. Josh Aitken was flying for the win!

Shame he’s racing Wigmore CC tomorrow as well 😭

  • 2nd and 3rd for the Brighton Mitre double last Saturday.
17th and 16th for Catford and Bec on the Sunday.

This weekend I was second twice on Saturday on Firle Beacon and Butts Lane - Rowan Brackston retaining his titles from last year.
Today was the local ELV HC on Mott Street. Not a day to beat my PB but I took the win all the same.

Thanks to @luft for the photo - he’s smashing it this year too. Cutting literally minutes off last year’s times. We need another LFGSS CC climber so we can win some team prizes!

  • Congratulations. Looked like a grim day out there.

That’s my mate, Hugh, next to you in the pic (2nd place).

  • This is awesome.

  • Ah nice one. Surprised Hugh didn’t take to be honest. I guess knowing the climb makes a big difference.

  • That’s my mate, Hugh, next to you in the pic (2nd place).\

And my clubmate Helen on the left! Apparently the only woman to race, which is a shame

  • Helen smashed it! Sub 3 mins is rapid. She’d have beat any other women anyway (she beat several men today).

  • Why is there a spooky woman face hovering in mid air in that picture?

  • It’s a screen shot from @cjr ’s IG. He came 4th incidentally.

  • It’s one of the Jenner sisters I think.

  • She beat the winning times from the last few years too so clearly going some!

  • a nice cupper on the podium is incredibly hill climb
