In "behaving like a ten your old behind my block of flats" news:
The new shoes and pedals are interesting - I can English bunny hop pretty much as easily as with SPD's, which I wasn't expecting.
However the point of this is to learn the American bunny hop, and I would (charitably) say it's early days yet.
The front-then-back process works, but I'm still to afeared of going off the bike backwards to get the front wheel high enough, and then when I do jump the rear is only coming up a small distance.
One of the YouTube videos I watched said that it's the rear foot that does most of the lift, but my right leg is the one that is complaining, so something to look at there.
Still- I'm performing the American hop, on flats, which was the very first goal.
