I understand it is pretty straightforward, and my boiler is less than 3 years old and already set up for wireless 'stat so should be.
But I can't be fucked engaging my brain to sort it. Life is busy/complicated enough at the moment.
The 3rd gen units are about £220 from John Lewis, and a Nest approved supply and installation is about £240.
Is it worth me paying £20 for a human to come and do the snipping of wires and connections of things for me?
A task that I have never done before, and they probably have been doing 3 x a day for the last 5 years?
As I went through this process it dawned on me that the reward was barely worth the effort and I sacked it off and just got a basic wireless thermostat.
I love having my Nest. Being able to switch on the heating on the night bus home is brilliant, and it's worth it just to be able to set a schedule on the internet rather than fiddling with those little buttons on a regular wireless thermostat. I'll PM you contacts for the guy who installed mine

Just need to find the £240 now.
