You probably said it already but what phone is to and what was the % on the old battery? Still deciding if I want to replace the one on my now spare 6s plus...

iPhone X owners, what’s your battery % after almost a year of using it? Mine is 98% and a colleague of mine has managed to maintain his at 100% - that leads to me to think he doesn’t actually use his phone all that often...?!?!

Rumours are they're getting their first proper refresh in over 3 years.

Very much just weighing up my options at the moment. My MacBook Pro 2015 is starting to struggle and I’m thinking a desktop is finally the most appropriate thing, after about 6 laptops.

Those Mac Minis are hugely overpriced when you look at the specs. Very dated when you look at things like the processor.

I'd assume so (although that was the case last year too). The current ones are meant to have 4th gen Intel processors, they're up to 8th gen now. I guess people buy them for the form factor/convenience rather than the specs though.

this can't be right - what are you using it for that is so demanding?

Also, so far as I'm aware, Mac minis use laptop processors to squeeze them into those little cases. They might be a bit cheaper due to the lack of screen but the £1,000 mini is probably slower than a £400 pc if you're looking at desktops

People definitely buy them for the form factor / portability, yet they are also regarded being very dependable little machines that deliver solid performance despite not being high-ed specced.

Do not bloody touch a Mac mini right now.

Not planning on making a purchase that soon - just trying to decide what I need. After Effects is a bit sluggish on the MBP but I think upgrading the HD would probably help that. Can’t help thinking I need a desktop option somewhere between mini and pro, but without an inbuilt screen.

Thats what rumours are actually hinting towards with the mini refresh - I think Apple actually said it themselves (someone correct me if I am wrong please) a "more pro focused" Mac mini.
