Totally agree, can't beat the value and quality. The only thing that keeps me looking at other brands is aesthetics really. There's always something that's not quite right on a Seiko. Tiny stuff but it matters. On my snzg15 it's almost all good, bar the little serifs on the type that look like mistakes and the badge heavy dial. Still love it tho. Same for my sarg011. I'll be getting a samurai diver soon too. Addictive

Get something with flags on it

Well I can't unseen that now. It just looks like it's trying to hard. With that SPORTS logo it reminds me of a small Japanese hatch back with a big wing pretending to be a performance car.

My current want -

I once read something that said: don't end up having 20 nice watches when you could have a few fantastic watches. That's the only danger with Seiko.

I just have two Seikos :(

OOOOO that i like

I'll buy the spring drive version one day, when a good one comes up for sale.

To think he appeared on Magic and Timmy too. Or was that Boyzone?
-
• #29887
My dealer has one in stock, I can probably get a pretty good discount
-

very true, and some day I'll buy a real nice watch. but for now...

The SPORTS thing is annoying, it's on all the 5 models. The original was a LE run, and hard/impossible to find

I have zero watch budget at the moment, sadly, but I would be remiss if I didn't ask how much they would be selling it for.
-
• #29891
Ha! He’ll be selling it for list, but like I said I can get a discount. If I start negotiating a specific price with him then the deal is on, if you understand what I mean.

My Fenix2 is dying a slow death (battery issues) so I just ordered a Seiko SKX013 as a daily driver and I'll get a cheaper HRM in the future.
Looking for a decent oyster bracelet and green bezel insert as first mods, not been this excited about a watch since my 18th!
-
• #29893
I think bezel inserts for the SKX013 are slightly less available than SKX007, does a green definitely exist?
-
• #29894
Edit: they do
-
• #29895
Yeah, green and blue and I think there is a batman GMT one around somewhere too. the 007 would be way too big for my skinny wrist so sacrificed some customisability for comfort

That is what I thought about the Turtle till I tried it on. Seiko divers wear much smaller than their dimensions would lead you to believe. Still, 013 is a solid watch!
-
• #29897
I think it's because they have short lugs. My 007 is the smallest wearing diver that I have.
-
• #29898
Indeed. The Turtle is almost as wide as it is tall, which also gives off the impression of a smaller size.

You haven't seen my wrists!
Black perlon and olive zulu straps arrived today- seriously I'm like a kid at Christmas!
Nice watch Rogan! Definitely Rolex’s best offering right now.
