As I happened to be in Toronto I thought I'd go and watch the inaugural Campeones Cup last night (winners of the MLS Cup v winners of the Mexican league cup).

Standard was pretty poor (a lot worse than I thought MLS was at), highlighted by the fact that Jozy Altidore was one of Tornto's star players. The stadium was interesting, a large part of it felt pretty temporary. On the upside, you could drink massive beers whilst watching the match which was a bit more civilised than necking a bottle of Carlsberg in 5 minutes at half time.

CL rules now means you can drink ale at the ground in accordance to that countries rules... ie away in germany drink beers while watching the game

I'm not actually a big fan of being able to drink during the match. It'll end up like rugby where you're up and down constantly for people going to the bar or going for a piss. Ideally they'd sell alcohol before the match/half time and you can take it up to the stand but no sales whilst the match is on.
