My thought exactly, which is why I kicked off and took my coffee machine with me.

🤣 I don’t think they’d drink my flask though.

Ta - not sure which I have tbh - it does a very good job but it's not leakproof - when you open the sippy bit, take a swig, and then close it there's always some that pools/falls out. Not a biggy but if a drip got on a document or something in my bag or some clothes etc I'd be annoyed.

Right? These sound like the worst colleagues.

Probably sackable but I'd consider this.

Only if you (I) get caught! 🙄
You should see their innocent faces when I asked them what the fuck happened to my coffee glass.

Might hold a coffee cupping and do a secret live stream!

I bought one of these Hario pots about five years ago, forgot I had it... Will have to drag it out...
Fuck me, beans are expensive here... My local roastery charges forty bucks for 500g, got some Coffee Supreme (very highly regarded folks from Melbourne who opened here a couple of years back) beans posted for $35 and they're just as good but still so spendy... Just bought a kilo of supermarket beans for my girlfriend for only $18, they were on special at half price but she loves them...
I'm sure I was paying only £12 for 500g at Monmouth, or am I dreaming?

I've got one of those, it's ace...

Maybe not, but raw coffee prices have been going up for a while (might be on the the turn though), roasters in London have been increasing prices for a couple of years. I expect £11/250g here now, or up to £30/kilo

Postage costs are a lot of that extra cost tho, right? I always found Australia to have cheaper and much better quality coffee beans than the U.K.
You could try also Red Bean in Melbourne who are awesome. http://redbeancoffee.com.au/shop/

That sounds about right then, I'll quit moaning...

I have no idea, I've only just started buying beans again... Was a bit worried when I was almost at the bottom of my bag of beans after just a week... I may actually try a bag of Segafredo decaf and see how I get on, us immigrants don't like spending a lot of money on the essentials in life... 😁

Locally (mcr) I can get 350g espresso for £9 but the SO's i'm enjoying at the moment are 200g bags also at £9.
Whatever awaits us come March 29th 2019 could see prices spiral?

After having a lovely latte made with Allpress beans a couple of weeks ago, I treated myself to a bag of their espresso blend. Arrived Friday and made my first coffee yesterday which tasted extremely bitter.
Everything I've read tends to say that bitterness comes from over extraction, but extraction time etc was exactly the same as I'd usually get with my normal beans. The beans in the packet also seem to smell bitter.
Can coffee beans be too fresh? There's no roasting date on the packet, sadly.

• #15147
Yes, coffee beans can be too fresh if you're using too close to the roast date. I'll let someone more qualified like Steve chime in for perfect time range but I think at least 3-5 post roast is preferrable
-
• #15148
I’d say take them back....if they don’t smell good can’t see them tasting good

I think rather 6-9

This is fucking ridicoulous, that's like double of what I pay here in Berlin!
You are 100% being trolled
