looks like you will flex them in 2 seconds ..
-
• #1155
Yeah but they pretty
-
• #1156
I did contact middleburn for a sub-compact crank (24mm axle) .. the price is laughably expensive
-
• #1157
Yes. They are lovely things, but it's hard to beat a Shimano chainset on price.
For traveling I like square taper chainset with self extraction bolts. -

Wowi super jealous. So pretty

• #1159
artisan tho. ARTISAN.

• #1160
If they are noodles you can have them

How shit are TRP CX 8.4s and 9s with mudguards?
I am contemplating using the GT as a rando bike and getting rid of the brown lugged one and transferring parts over to the GT.I will be using mudguards and 30c Schwalbe G-ones in the winter and cross tyres in the summer.

How shit are TRP CX 8.4s and 9s with mudguards?
I have successfully used these with 35mm wide chromoplastics but thats on the edge ..
-

I am thinking about making a rack for thru axle forks.
I just need to find a way to fit rack support between hub and fork legs using thru axle to carry the weight of the rack.
-
• #1167
Will the axle be long enough?
-
• #1168
if you succeed I will love you more
-
• #1169
Will carbon like being spread 5mm or so apart over time?
-
• #1170
I am considering two options.
use 2mm steel for eyelets for rack support. This means splaying fork legs 4mm. But that should be fine.
is running rack supports on the outside of fork legs and using a longer axle and a nut to secure rack. This would mean changing wheel / fixing a flat would be slower.

my forks are already 101.5mm instead of 100mm.
-
• #1172
Option 2 sketch
-
• #1173
That's handy then.
Other option could be boost fork with non boost hub and a spacer either side which also acts as the rack mount.
But understand that this time around you already have the fork -
• #1174
Yeah. I hvae no actual plans for this. Just tinkering.
I want a light gravel grinder with a small rando bag -

The rack stays could end forward of the fork dropout and have just a thin flange go between the hub and fork.
Somethin looking a bit like these, but obviously not bolted to rack stays...
Thanks guys.
