    Recommendations for Palma de Mallorca:

    Vegan / vegetarian restaurant EcoVegetaria

    Great indian food at Diwali

Israeli Simply Delicious (stupid name but food is indeed delish)

Also Santina (also serves animals but has good vegan options)

These are all in Santa Catalina (west of center / old town).

There's loads more. Mallorca has a bad rep for food in general and especially for vegetarian / vegan food, but at least in Palma you do have a lot of great options now, seriously!

  • Thanks! Would love to have checked them out, however I was miles away in a sleepy little town with no tourists. I think the food sacrifice was worth it.

  • Thank you for the suggestion. Just had a look at the menu and unfortunately I think its abit too adventurous for my Dad. Which is a shame as I imagine the views from the Shard would be nice in the evening.

  • Manna? Fancy vegan restaurant in Notting Hill. Had sausage and mash once - was alright.

  • Have you tried phoning up a few fine dining places and asking if they can do something vegan? The few I've been to (not in London, unfortunately) have all been happy to come up with something interesting for my partner. The fewer things they have on the menu, the better.

  • I haven't been, but I know the hawkesmoor in Borough has some vegan stuff on the menu. Their other spots at least have an option if you call beforehand as far as I know.

  • Can anybody suggest somewhere for a vegan breakfast in Leyton this morning?

  • Depending on what time it opens, maybe the Hornbeam cafe at the Bakers Arms end of Hoe St?

  • Thanks, I ended up in somewhere called Sam’s cafe, basic, in a good way, not bad.

  • For the benefit of RASA obsessives fans who may not have noticed yet, it's probably again necessary to book every time you want to go. I went to RASA N16 with a friend last night. Since RASA Travancore (the meat restaurant) opened diagonally opposite, it hadn't been necessary to book, as people went there instead of the old RASA, so I didn't, it being a Tuesday and all. I was therefore very surprised when we arrived and it was already very busy, and a little later the sort of queue formed inside and outside that you used to see 20 years ago. Not being very observant, I hadn't noticed yet that the appearance of Travancore has changed (despite probably cycling past it dozens of times since), and it turns out that it has been sold, with RASA, which used to have about eight restaurants (can't remember the exact number) having downsized to just W1 and N16. When we left and walked past the other place (now just named Travancore), it was completely empty at just after 8pm! Really odd. I can only assume that RASA is still such a strong brand that people gravitate towards it rather than the one that has now lost it.

  • New Vegan Menu at Jidori looks great

  • my old haunt viet anh in camden has permanently closed, so i have nowhere to get my chili tofu ball / satay tofu fix. any suggestions?

  • Not exactly the same, but ate in Mildred's Camden last night and they have a very good new 'chikn' coconut satay.

  • Not quite Leyton of course but Buhler & Co next to The Bell on Chingford Rd is fantastic for brunch at the weekend. Yet to eat there in the evening tho. The sweet potato Gado Gado is particularly bangin.
I had a coffee there yesterday before getting this done next door at Studio 69

Fuck this shit. It's experimenting on animals with human made drugs. They did the same with dolphins and LSD in the sixties. The animals are still being taken from their natural environment, caged, and then most likely dissected afterwards for research.

Awful. The comments underneath this story are actually spot on. For a change.

  • The bunnycomb moo bars are legit.

  • Went to Paris this weekend - too many options to take in! The best thing I ate was a beyond delicious chocolate + pistachio pastry from Laelo. Worth the 18€ I paid for it.

  • Does anyone have any recommendations for vegan probiotics?

  • The Stable in Falmouth for the vegan pizza.

  • Anyone have any recommendations in Prague, Bratislava or Budapest?

  • Budepest - Madal Food, Veganeria
And Vegazzi all seals of approval.

  • Does anyone have any recommendations for a package style hotel resort that is vegan friendly? Anywhere warm in Europe next summer.

Or should we just get self catering?
