Yes, if you insist on speaking Latin, but you must also pronounce £ as "libre" to be self-consistent. Characteristically of English, the poshos who were in charge of naming things used French from Latin, so £.s.d is officially libre solidus denier, but the plebs used the Germanic words pound shilling penny. For the same reason, animals are German in the field and French on the table e.g. cattle/beef, sheep/mutton, swine/pork.

No. The ready-mix has other stuff in it as filler, colouring, preservative. Powder is now 100% mustard flour, although apparently in the olden days it was cut with cornflour to maintain a consistent price (1d for the small oval tin) from year to year regardless of fluctuations in the mustard harvest.
