A friend who runs a cafe used to use them to test new beans when it was quiet with a chemex. I remember the taste being good (like a cleaner v60) but i think he stopped due to the cleaning bring a bit more hassle.

New to me, are they just for chemex or can they be used with v60?

Lots of faff i'm a afraid.
You need to keep them 'moist' in a ziplock bag in the fridge when you're not using them, they're not suppose to dry out.

I bought one of these Hario pots about five years ago, forgot I had it... Will have to drag it out...
Fuck me, beans are expensive here... My local roastery charges forty bucks for 500g, got some Coffee Supreme (very highly regarded folks from Melbourne who opened here a couple of years back) beans posted for $35 and they're just as good but still so spendy... Just bought a kilo of supermarket beans for my girlfriend for only $18, they were on special at half price but she loves them...
I'm sure I was paying only £12 for 500g at Monmouth, or am I dreaming?
