  • these are gravelking 32mm. great performance but what a nightmare to put on the first time.
    I am soon to try some other slick 35mm, and go down a size as well for winter to fit mudguards.
    I am not sure what tyre size advantage gives 650b, especially with knobblies, as the fork doesn't taper a lot. the answer must be on here somewhere ?

  • I think you can squeeze 38mm with guards on 650b. Genesis say 32mm is max without guards but I'd be interested to see if you get the 35mms on.

    I'm currently running 28mm with guards and there's tons of room in the fork and not much in the rear (on the newer thru axle model)

    *Edit - Looking back through old emails they told me 30c is the max, that's obviously not right.

  • There's bags of room at the rear on mine. l could probably fit 32 with mudguards.
    the rear design must have changed since the dropouts seem smaller in the newer model.

  • maybe they were assuming knobbly tyres and gave a "secure" answer.
