I've just spotted a really cheap Red 22 groupset for sale here in Ireland I'm trying to not buy :(
Extralite stem is hot but may need 130mm for fit. I'll have a lot at geo.

What crimes has it committed?

Just noticed and corrected that. Guilty of crimes against pro-fit/ hhsrb though to be fair.

€550 for spotless Red 22 groupset minus brake calipers?
-
• #8
yeah, sell calipers get 9100 (if you dont mind mismatch) or ee.
-
• #9
Considering shifters and rear derailleur comes to about £500, I would say that's a bargain groupset.

• #10
Yeah it makes a lot of sense... are Red 22 calipers useless?
-
• #11
No

9100 are very good. Running them with etap. Mismatch lyf

It's basically an anodized DSW Allez frameset with an S-Works FACT full carbon fork (I think it's the same fork as an S-Works Tarmac?)
Frame is 1050g.

At least 50% extra. Additional HHSRB points also.

I would put a titanium Seat post in that. And the front zilver stem and black handlebar

Red 22 brakes are fine, just not as good as Shimano. Who cares anyways, it's a race bike not a tourer

Yum!
Sworks finishing kit is quite nice and quite light, maybe Aerofly bars for the aeros?

wouldn't true HH be sram red 10 speed ?

Got some new 9100 series brake calipers for sale if any interest. Also a 175mm compact crank.

Some Sworks 53/39 TT rings too
I've been working towards realising my HHSRB dreams and after a few false starts (had secured a frameset and the seller sold it to a climate on their Sunday ride the day before I was due to collect it) I've gotten an S-Works Allez!
It's going to be a while in delivery as it's coming from Little Rock, Arkansas via a postal redirection service in New Jersey (seller refused to ship internationally) and unfortunately I have plenty of other things I should be putting my money into at the moment so there's going to be no big rush on this build.
I am aiming for a moderately modest weenie build on this so at the moment I'm leaning towards Deda Elementi Superleggera stem, bars and seatpost as a start point.
No thoughts on groupset yet, probably DA9000 or Red 22 and likely with an S-Works FACT crankset for either option.
I'd love to go down the THM/ Tune/ Schmolke/ Berk route but unless I find some super deals on eBay it's not likely.
Might do Tune Mig/Mag hubs on Light Bicycle carbon rims though...
Plenty of time to think about it but for now here are some pictures from the eBay seller.
