Awesome info cheers.
Frame is a 68mm shell. I think. Better check that!
Will get on the eBay searches at work if it’s quiet!

These are the cranks.
I’ll need to find a smaller ring as well.

Are pedal threads British?
What size chainring would you be looking to fit?
Williams, BSA and TA like the one you have some of the brands that were making 5 pin chainrings.
Though BSA and Williams would probably be for 1/8" chains.
Planet X sells Sun XCD adaptors for 110 and 130BCD chainrings. I am pretty sure is the same 5 pin pattern but not 100% sure. -
• #1055
Currently using a 36t ring so there or there abouts. I can get a bigger or smaller cog for the coaster hub if needs.
1/8" chain would be cool, its what I use anyway, but a bcd adapter might be easier.

Has anyone got a 50s single bottle handlebar cage for sale, something like a Coloral or would consider a later 60s cage like TA.
I'm not looking for NOS as they command too higher price for my budget.
Please let me know if you have anything for sale.

have you seen these bottle cages?

bullock 21081923a by philip.knight, on Flickr
A c.1936 Bullock bike, built in Adelaide, Australia.
I am the current custodian as in 2010 I was asked to look after it by the daughter of the original owner and her husband Graeme.
It had a good clean, then new tyres, tubes, toe clips and straps, wrapped the handlebars, replicated the hub shiners, installed two of my cable bands and replaced the saddle with one I recovered. I cut some urethane to use as 'brake blocks' in the Philco brakes.
Yesterday, I gave it a wash, pumped up the tyres and took it for a [plush] ride. -

Very nice preservation.
Re Paintwork -
beeswax/gum turpentine to conserve the original finishIs the gum turpentine added to the beeswax to soften it and allow you to apply it?
Is there a ratio for the mix or is it the case of adding the turpentine until the beeswax is workable. -
• #1070
I just shred/grate up some beeswax off a block then cover with pure gum turpentine (not mineral turpentine). The gum turpentine is just a carrier for the beeswax.
Put a lid on the jar and in leave in a warm spot and give it an occasional shake until the beeswax is fully dissolved. It should have a milky opacity.
I mix it as a liquid more than a paste but that is my preference.
I use the same mix on our furniture.
Apply thinly and then buff to a light lustre.
It is a non-destructive, protective coating.
I find the process very satisfying. -

I like your summaries of all old frames for sale. You've had me hovering over the BIN button more than once recently I must admit! Keep up the good work!

Thanks @7ven, I always try and find something interesting to highlight.
They come in different axle lengths.
There’s a bit of info here on Bayliss Wiley lengths and the equivalent TDC which is another brand. The first being the better of the two.
http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/bblengths.html
Axle number 15 was made for singlespeed/fixed but depending on chainstay shape/chainline you might need a longer one.
Can’t remember if number 15 is asymmetric or not but some are, but I’ve flipped them a few times to achieve a better chainline.
Is your Klunker bb 68 or 73mm?
Might not work if it’s 73.
I agree current cups are nasty. You’d be better of with an old one.
