What's interesting is the AD in westfield said that there's a 10 year waiting list for that one and that they no longer are accepting ppl onto the waitinglist.

I mean, at that stage, I'd just get a 60s GMT with a jubilee... The Hodinkee Radio podcast is interesting - there's an episode with Eric Ku, who I'd only heard of via Hodinkee. He discusses the value of new Rolex vs vintage Rolex. Was an interesting discussion for anyone who has a spare hour to listen to someone talk about Rolex...

I'd say that was exactly the same as the one I have, but mine is gold.
I bought a bunch of automatic watches from ebay about 10 years ago for a fiver each, and I've been working my way through them (usually end up getting the front smashed in somehow).

This is the last one, i already dropped it when a previous strap broke and the movement partly came through the face, but my local watch guy (who said he did his training on the same swiss movements) said that it would last a while yet.

A colleague just told me a story how he's lost a rolex sub he inheritted from his dad. A limited hulk sub from some airforce as he was a pilot in both world wars.
