For sale is this 56cm 1991 Trek 1200 in an amazing neon yellow with black splatter paint job (so bright it’s really difficult to capture and has blown out in the photos!). The previous owner told me he bought it new and then very soon after bought a mountain bike so this sat in his garage almost unused for 25 years. Hence it is in great condition, the anodizing on the rims has only just started to wear. There are a couple of age related marks but otherwise looks excellent.
Frame is Easton 6061 oversize aluminium and has a steel fork, which make for a very comfortable ride. Groupset is 7 speed indexed RX100 (equivalent to 105).
The bike has been completely stripped and serviced including hubs, headset and bottom bracket. It also has new inner and outer cables, bar tape, inner tubes and Hutchinson tyres. Everything else is stock apart from the saddle. Thomson seatpost not included, I will include original black Kalloy post when I can dig it out.
The frame is practically high viz so makes a great commuter bike as is. Or I think it would look great with an up to date black groupset and wheels, similar to @Carabo ‘s great Trek 2300 build.
£200, collected from Bristol. Would rather not post at this point.
