I have a leather sofa that has it. Not been particularly careful with it but it doesn't have any stains 10 years on.

Whether or not this is due to the stain guard I couldn't say.

Its going to be grey material. I'm sceptical about the treatment, as it will depend on application and get worn off. But the insurance package at first glance sounds sensible.

Mine's black. No idea if it has worn off or not, nothing that I can tell (although obviously it's leather so has creases).
