  • Nah it's the workshop for work.
I am renting a garage for bike storage and little bits and bobs but no power there so can't really use it as a workshop properly.
There was talk of setting up a space somewhere South to be used as a sort of storage/joint LFGSS workshop that never came to fruition. I'd still like to do something like that for personal projects I've got going on. I assume you're thinking of staying north though?

  • I tried to setup something like this for years between mates and forum goers, but no one ever put their money where their mouth is/was.

Have now opened a bike workshop with (very large) attached self service bike (and cargo bike) storage with all the tools you could ever imagine. Going very well!

We are close to selling bullitts, fancied one for years and with help of the boost to the sector that the new Scottish eBike/ecargoBike loan seems to be generating I think it'll do really well.

Just tried a packster 60 out, the bosch drive worked fine, though find the shimano steps system (only been able to demo e6000, as almost no one has e8000 yet) more subtle, especially at the fine control end of the spectrum. Liked the packster steering (1:2) for setting off and low speed fiddling about, but above 10mph especially with weight on it got very fidgety. Also the front suspension fork on the demo model had done 600 miles and was in a bad way (coating coming off the stanchions and you could feel the play in it whilst rocking it back and forth on the brakes).
