It was silverware; not as good as the PL and certainly not as good as the CL but silverware. The FA Cup last year was silverware.

Interestingly, the FA Cups, the League Cup and the Cup Winners' Cup we won in the ten years before Ambramovich are all silverware and the haul in those ten years, when we were shit, is still greater than the haul accumulated by either Spurs or Liverpool in the past ten years.

Everyone I know who will be travelling is more excited by these trips than by any that we have had in years.

To be fair, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Porto, Milan, Rome and Munich are all very nice but these are places that one will never have visited and are unlikely to visit again.

Vidi are rebuilding their stadium and so the game will be played in Budapest.

Perhaps Spurs should play their home games there.

Chelsea are the last English side to have won the CL and I hope it stays that way until we next win it. I also hope that we remain the only London side to win the CL and that Guardiola never wins it at Citeh.
