My android phone is ant+ enabled.
I've used an ant+ tester And it tells me the phone is ant+ capable, and built in a t+ is detected...The built in firmware is showing no service.
When I spin the wheels and cranks on my bike, trainer road on my windows laptop and suntoo mini usb detect them. My phone does not.
What do?

Unless I've made it up, after a Tour of California time trial (potentially in 2014), Bradley Wiggins was photographed riding his Pinarello TT bike back to the team hotel, eschewing the team bus.
Does anyone have (high res) pictorial evidence of this taking place for er, my records.

I got gifted two broken folding bikes, hoping I could make one functional out of them. Both rear wheels have damaged hubs. To follow the KISS principle, I would like to put in a fixed hub. I can make something fun out of that (that can probably go straight into anti-porn XD).
The current hub is a sturmey archer 3 speed hub. It looks like this one:
So I want to put in a new fixed hub, but how do I find out the right one? I want to reuse the rim and the spokes if possible. I don't really want to spend any money on it, but the hub is really needed.
It appears to be 14 spokes on each side, so 28 spokes total. Width, center to center, measured where the spokes are, seems to be about 62-65 mm.
Anyone got an idea of what kind of hub I could use?

If you really have no idea on how to measure a wheel let alone build one I'd say let another person do it.
-

I've build wheels, just never measured. Used to build wheels for a bike shop, where the owner just handed me the stuff and I build the wheels.

why aren't there more mini velos about? whats wrong with them?

Because we don't need them, and they are worse than proper bikes. Generally speaking, a bicycle is best when it has the largest wheels which can be accommodated without forcing the steering geometry into weird places. You have to be very short of storage space to make the compromise of small wheels a worthwhile trade-off.

But granny shopper bikes are ridiculous fun.
(I have several and might not be entirely objective)
-
• #93038
I don't know about objective but definitely less questionable than £16K Moultons.

Haha! Yes. But Mrs c00ps questions it all the same.

I'd say the ridiculous fun is worth it, overall slower than an equivalent bike but loads of fun.

What size of mudguard do i need for 26x1.75
-
• #93042
Usually 10mm wider than your tire is recommended.

Shopper wheels are stupidly cheap - look on ebay there are loads of german bike shops that do SA 3speed full wheels for not very much. I only paid £20 for a brand new dynamo hub front wheel.

• #93044
Yeah that would work, but then I'd have to weld the cog. I'd rather just put a proper fixed hub in.

This might be of interest, even though it didn't (apparently) lead to anything:

How many horrible deaths will my chainline die if I use a single ring on the outer position of an old rival crank?
-
• #93048
I’ve been running this, (outer ring, road chain line) and been fine for about a year, with a standard fixed hub... been alright so far! If that’s what you’re asking?

Blackberry phone problem.
Z10 phone died on me a year ago, part way through an upgrade. I gave up and got a new phone.
Z10 has pictures on it I want to save, but phone will not connect to computer. Computer recognises device but cannot open it.
Is there any data recovery software I could use?
I don't care if the phone is made unservicable, I want the pictures.
Anyone rented out a bike in Lanzarote? I'm going for a week with friends and family. If it's easy to arrange hire of bike/equipment at a day rate, I think I could swing an early morning 50miler or something.
This site seems to promise Cannondales, BMC, Cervelo for about 40 quid. https://www.listnride.com/bikes/2494
