Thanks for this! (and your advice @Double_J). Based on on this, I'll probably go with something between 125-210 g/L. Seems like a quite a discrepancy between concentrations. Is it worth leaving a little longer than normal if the concentration is increased? I normally leave 80 g/L for 6-8 hours, never longer.

Sounds like Double_j has the greater experience in the matter so I'd probably follow his recommendation

Follow up to previous experiments using the Fancy Feast alcohol stove to make my moka. I wanted to use a less toxic alcohol than the Methyl Hydrate (99%) that I was using and shelled out for Bio Flame (95%).
Don't like it - 3-4 times the price, burns yellow at times, less stable flame, reeks like nail polish remover. Yeah it's ethanol/denatured, but cut it with 5% water and you get the above results, can't seem to find purer stuff around here (Canada). -

I'm sorry it's a hangover from some misguided multisport adventures...

That refers to seat tube angle, not saddle angle!
-
• #14991
You'd probably be 25% faster if you lowered your seat post and flattened your saddle out :-) #internetbikefit

Can confirm that for a one time use with tri-bars etc it was quite effective.
In the spirit of not being that guy stopping every 5 km adjusting his saddle yesterday's enjoyable century was possibly a tad less enjoyable than it might otherwise have been on account of said position, so I'll take the internet bike fit and remediate. (It's not as bad as it looks honest!/ -

Kleen Kanteens - I've seen them a few times on this thread. Is there a particular model folks would recommend? Ta!

Guess it depends what you need it for but for: drinking around the house / taking it out in my bag / the car / fitting into a bottle holder on a bike / all the while keeping it very hot for hours and drinkable for hours beyond that, I use their 12oz 'insulated wide'. Use it every day. Great investment.
Edit: the cafe cap is brilliant and nice to drink from, doesn't let too much out etc however it's not 100% leak proof - only a drip but it'd be enough to annoy me if it got on documents etc in my bag, so when I'm traveling I use the 'wide loop cap' which seems much less likely to let stuff dribble out.

Big thanks for this! A great help this week. The milkman was particularly good. I need to go back to test their Bailey's filter
Yes, that Rocket Appartamento was mentioned previously. I think it will either be that or ECM Classika PID.
