If only they haven't skip the 42/44and 48 and straight to 54 from 38.

G one all round have phenomenal grip in wet

Is the g one speed what used to be called the s-one?
-
• #5707
yep
-
• #5708
I fitted back my kojak and they're faaaaast (after wtb resolute) !
Appart the tubeless thing are the g-one speed really faster ? -
• #5709
I don't know, but I'd imagine substantially better as soon as surfaces get a bit loose
-
• #5710
G-one Allround are quicker. And they have draggy lil knoblettes.
I’d expect the Speeds to be quicker again?
The Kojak is a decent, tough slick tyre. Not very fast Tho.

How do G-one Speeds compare to Hypers, or Paselas?
Using Pasela 38s, tried 38c Hypers which were much slower, but a tad more comfortable, and a bit larger in size. Paselas feel like big road tyres, whereas Hypers feel like hybrid tyres.

How do G-one Speeds compare to Hypers
Very similar IMO. The pros of G-One speed are tubeless and are being made.
Vittoria should start making hypers again.
Surprising to find that you found Hypers slower than Pasela. Hypers are also lighter. For me Hypers performed very close to a fast road tyre. For no reason I latex inners in them.
And let me take this opportunity to say FUCK compass tyres.

Anyone using Var tyre levers?
Veloflex Master on Kinlin ‘tubeless-ready’ rims are a tube snagging, lever bending, thumb snapping nightmare.
I need something safer (for tubes) than Pedros levers.

Weight seems to be similar, but Paselas, in 38c at least, were noticeably quicker. Now got latex tubes in the Paselas and it feels even faster with a tad more compliance. Would like something a bit tougher for the coming seasons, though had no punctures with the Paselas (PT).
Got some Soma Cazaderos, which have a thick centre tread, but not tubeless.

Var tyre levers
I have one for an equally disagreeable Corsa Speed / Hed Jet + combo, but I can't really get my head around how it works.

Calculates drag coefficient of all his fixies.
Can’t use a tyre lever.

Great.

It was recommended to me by someone who was a big fan. Just seemed a bit fiddly/violent to use.

Thanks for the answer guys !
Yeah it's a fast tire for me as I never tried something smaller/racier. And I compare them to bigger knobbies in 42 ...
I'm a bit hesitating as a pair of kojak is less than a g-one ... And tubeless is appealing but I never punctured on my kojak. -
• #5722
I had the opposite of this. Paselas are slow, heavy and draggy. Whereas Hypers feel like a puncture proof, fat gp4ksii
-
• #5723
I bodged 38c hypers tubeless. Really fast fat tires, much faster than tubed kojaks and not much slower than g-one speeds.
-
• #5724
Yeah similar. I have one ordered now but haven’t actually seen one in use.

Not elegant but looks like it does the job.
I think it comes with a normal lever that kinda sits inside (maybe).
