@mashtonwe have a suggestion for The Castle, North Acton,
on what people of a certain vinatge still think of as the BBC Costume & Set estate/large traffic island,
but,
these days, is part of the odd development on the former NEC site. Many years ago, (90-94), I worked for Expandite along Chase Road.
The Export department, notorious lunchtime boozers, always avoided The Castle,
(reasons never specified),
and,
instead would drive all the way back to Acton proper for the Lion & Pineapple(?)The Castle gets my vote as it is pretty close to the Kamil Bakery,
bakers of thin crust Lebanese pizzas. I recommend the zaattar, or kishek, although they do offer lamb for carnivores.
@skydancer and I have found it a bit difficult to get to West beers for a while, but we went for an evening cycle the other day to get cool and found a Fuller's pub under threat in North Acton. It serves local craft ales and has a garden and plenty of space for bike parking. It's the Castle. We are away this week but would anyone like to try it the week after?
