  • Fire!

  • That is really nice.

  • I want one.

  • that's rad

  • Summer is over at work, which means time to fettle in the garage. Had some clearance issues with the Shutter Precision hub, 160 mm disc and Rival brake. A lot of fiddling and some spacers later I've got around 1 mm clearance between the brake caliper and the spokes. Time will tell if that's enough. Need to sort the front deraillĂ©ur and the top cap still.

  • Nice one ! What is the tyre diameter ?

  • 35c, I think. Got some narrower Gravelkings I'll try at some point

  • Don't change, it's perfect

  • Aero Touring is the new 650b

  • I don't think they come in 32c. I've booked some garage time tomorrow so will check then.

  • The Kojaks are 35c. Todays garage time was a trip to the late eighties/early nineties with a bit of Pastel Touring.

  • The Giant now lives at my sisters and I've sold a Focus that was taking up space as well. The clearout is going quite well at the moment. As autumn has arrived it's time for my yearly 'I'll race some cx this year'-phase so I've begun building up my SS Arkose. I have some tubeless Edge22 rims somewhere and a SS disc hub. S900 cranks and Rival hydro brakes.

  • What is the expected weight on this? Is it with eccentric BB?

  • Massive and yes. But I think it'll weigh less than 10% of me.

  • 8.6 kg as it stands now without discs, chain and saddle, but with a heavy front wheel and wired clinchers. 280 grams of discs, 195 g saddle and 250-300 g chain. Maybe 9.2 kg when it's done? Frame and fork is around 2.5 kg, so it was never going to be light.

  • Whats the 10% limit?

  • 9.7 atm, I think :|

  • Already well below. Perfect.

  • I thought the Arkose and the Pompetamine were heavy. Have a Create size 54 that I just took down and weighted. 4120 grams for the frameset including headset.
