Transcontinental Race No. 6 - TCR6 - #TCRN06 - 2018

#47 Douglas Migden is tantalisingly close. Just coming up to the Greek border, he has 174 km to go. He’s been riding for most of the night. Four hours and 74 km already. If he can keep going at that pace he will make it. This is a ride that will enthrall all day.

Go Douglas!!!

He's old and wise enough to have timed it right. He'll be here baring any disaster.

There are some further behind who will make it too.

It's sixth for Mikko. The only one who has started, let alone finished, all the editions of the Tcr. From Meteora he's going straight to the Silk Road Mountain Race which starts on 18th so in just 4 days. He must have been saving the legs for the SRMR this time being quite conservative with his route this time :)

Jason Smith #106 is 263 km out. He looked as though he would finish in time for the party but had an horrendous crash. Lots of grazing which is relatively superficial but some heavy bruising (at least) to his hips. He has a really tough day ahead.

Bloody amazing.

The Silk Road looks excellent. I shall be following that. Chris Hall (of Cade video fame and a jolly nice young chap to boot) is riding as part of a pair.

Nasty, hope he'll recover quickly.

@MisterTomTom I think your's was the most heartwarming LFGSS-TCR story this year. Not to diminish the other's achievements, but reading how you faced your fear and pulled through a horrifying low only to finish in time for the party really made me smile.
