Long term, might get some 650b wheels to replace the 700c for more cushioning but not in any hurry for that.

will 650b get you any benefit here? You're already got clearance for bigger than 2" on 29", wouldn't think 27.5" will allow a significantly bigger tyres?

Lighter weight, slightly lower bb, handle slightly lighter, good choices of heavy duty tyres that's a lots lighter than a similar 700c version etc.

But on a bike designed for 29"×2.whatever" it'll bust up your handling more than on a normal bike right? And with MTB shaped stays you often get less clearance on 650b than 29", not more.

But I'm sure it's within tolerable range of geometry
