• Question - I’m building a Kepler Disc and would really like to give 650b a try.
I was thinking of using 700c with fenders for winter, taking fenders off and swapping out wheels for 650b in the summer.
But is there any point in having 2 wheelsets? I’ve got my CAAD10 for good weather so this would be used for basically anything else, winter, gravel, canal paths and such.

  • Just stick with 650b, they're already perfect for the winter, it's lighter, it's stronger, a lower BB is handy etc. and you can always get those 700x60mm mudguard which actually cover a 650b 48-50mm tyres well with ample room.
