As with @pit I have had bb7s on a few bikes and they’d chuck all 200lb of me over the bars. Have had mtb calipers with flat bar levers and road caliper with drop lever and both work really well. No credit card needed for set up (sometimes t25 torx key help for moving inner pad adjuster).
