Had it been someone bombing along doing deliveroo work "running from" a paramedic car going in the same direction headlines would be different. With the amazing view you get from HGV cabs you really could just get a person filtering as an ambulance(or any blue lights) approach from behind and then a random person is killed by a trucker.

Why the dichotomy?
Nobody needs moped thieves, and nobody needs an untrained driver playing hero, endangering the lives of, not just the moped riders, but anyone else unfortunate enough to be on the road at the same time. Particularly vulnerable road users.

You ever think about the fact that maybe no one wants to be a moped thief, but maybe certain situations have played out for those people that its become necessary?
