  • Guys we are rumbled they’ve figured out what the F stands for

Well, I am still not sure it definitely won't happen. Time can run out.
But they are probably right that there would be enough Tory rebels to block a no-deal.

But, then what? A chaotic period will follow. Unless there is a last minute Norway choice, which is still going to impact banking passports [and maybe some other perks]

  • Leftwing Fascist Group Secret Society

  • 'The man' in this case is a twat, obviously trying to troll for amusement.

  • Echo chamber politics is not why we have brexit.

quite. my dad and all his arsehole mates voted brexit because they thought a plummeting pound would make their foreign currency pensions worth a few extra notes.

    we have a strained relationship.

  • A stockpile needs distribution, and to be constantly refreshed.

If it's constantly refreshed, is it actually a stockpile? Isn't it just part of a working supply chain?

    /pedantry

  • Brexit is about rich right wing people (politics and the press) lying to relatively uneducated people for decades.

I remember distinctly that a friend of mine said this about a week before the referendum: there are 2 fundamentally opposed visions of brexit, one from powerful free-marketeers and another from lots of ordinary people who are concerned about their jobs and the strain on public services. Which of those groups seems more likely to get its way?

This is why a 2nd referendum might well completely split the leave vote.

  • Does he feel bad now that he sees the mess it has unleashed?

  • wouldn't know. haven't spoken in 6 months

  • The misspelling of fascism?

Jokes aside do you not see a tendency on here for leftwing arguments to be put forward in a shouty and abusive way when they're up against an opposing voice?... and judging by other parts of the internet its fairly moderate here.

For eg if you think on balance the world has benefited from modern capitalist policies, but we need some social safety nets you're either a centrist dad or a tory cunt, depending on the mood or size of the safety net you think is sensible.

In this case given that the troll was clearly a troll, I'm still struggling to see why people bothered to reply in the first place. But if they were why get so aggressive about it?

  • so disaster capitalism is farsighted entrepreneurialism when the rich do it but when the moderately wealthy do it, its unethical?

can't win with you lefties, honestly...

  • Reach out to him, think of your inheritance.

  • There was a Conservative voter politely engaging in another thread on here some time ago, and they met an equally polite, though confused (but why???) response.

  • I can say that @Dammit is fascist .. about his hubs and rims.

  • that pension is in ZAR. motherfucker's poorer than me.

  • He does have two German cars....

  • Jokes aside do you not see a tendency on here for all arguments to be put forward in a shouty and abusive way when they're up against an opposing voice?

    Yes

  • oh it's not that bad. we're notoriously poor communicators in the Hell household. He's an OK egg despite all the gammon.

  • So by voting Brexit he actually did gain a lot, relatively speaking?

Not that I would not be pissed off but well, if you are on the breadline I suppose needs must sometimes..

  • Phew :)

I now have this image of communication via cut-out newspaper articles and TV guides with "please watch this" and a circle around the right program :)

  • i suppose - not sure if the cunning plan has come together quite just yet. this was done to afford a nice new wide screen telly, not put food on the table.

classic ladder pulling boomer move tho.

  • centrist dad

    Hiya! *waves*

I'm still struggling to see why people bothered to reply in the first place. But if they were why get so aggressive about it?
