If you don't have to have a pannier rack then more 'adventure' type bikes - bit like that orange - becomes a goer. Like the genesis Datum and the newish Cannondale Synapse. The later has hidden mudguard mounts, takes larger tyres but is more 'road' than an Arkose, Diverge, Sequoia etc.

You got access to Specialized with your vouchers (sequoia, as suggested above?) -

I have an orange rx9. I don’t dislike it and have kept it 3 years or so with some changes, but I would say it is a pretty stiff frame and forks so you need to get your tyres right or prepare to be beaten to death!
It’s done my commute of 12 miles mixes tarmac, muddy tow path and gravel tracks nicely.
I changed tyres, bars, stem, seat, group set after 2 winters of hammer, and added a dynamo. Might it be worth thinking about a frame set?

When it says :"Full Mudguard and Rear Rack Mounts– Run it all year, carry all your gear. It has 38mm tyre compatibility with mudguards. The Terra C is also designed to accommodate modern bike-packing setups which don’t utilise racks."
What does "...which don’t utilise racks" mean?!
-
• #39
Frame bags and saddle bags and shit. Not sure how they design that in since bike packing bags are designed for bikes that aren’t designed for bags
