I've had some SRAM Avid Juicy brakes for the last 2 years, not needed to bleed them, they've rubbed a few times, but that's a 2 minute job to adjust, work great.
I went over to Vittoria Mezcals (£10 on PX) earlier in the summer, nice and fast, and comfortable. Even work ok when there's a bit of mud.
