Ive got a few limited edition Seikos that you can still buy new for less than original RRP, several years after release. They don't do limited well.

I do not care for Roman numerals on a watch.
Much prefer just a baton for the indices. -
• #28806
U sound liek Julius Caesar doe. 😎
-
• #28807
I really dislike Roman numerals but it looks nice on this one.

I think it's the first thing I see and it puts me off, a bit like mercedes hands, another thing I cannot stand.
I appreciate aesthetics are personal, so happy for people to like different things though. -

I agree doe. Roman Numerals should stay on Big Ben. 😎

oops bought an SRPC15. If anyone wants the cerise Oris above then hmu
-
• #28811
Where is the Oris from? I don't want it. I'm just curious as I struggle to believe they'd have made such a shit watch with such a poorly printed dial.

eBay. Could be modified I guess? Loads of similarly ugly ones:

Finally bought a grown up watch case (as opposed to cramming them in a Muji desk tidy) so a good time to donate some bits to the forum coffers.
Firstly is the Ingersoll auto that @Stonehedge kindly put up as a guess the weight prize a while back, worn it twice maybe, haz viewing caseback and an impressive power reserve. £25 forum donation please don’t buy to punt elsewhere.
Next is an eBay franken Seiko 5, it was cheap, probably a molested Indian import which doesn’t have an impressive power reserve but looks a bit funky. £7 forum donation?
Dibs and PM please, I’ll cover postage.

Yep. Oris and Omega are regularly faked. Often found in India. Watchuseek coined the derogatory phrase 'Mumbai Special...'
From Watchuseek
'A Mumbai Special is generally a watch put together from pieces of several watches in an horological chop shop in India. Some have ridiculous looking dials as well.'

Anyone bidding on anything at the Fellows watch auction today?
-
• #28822
that Ingersoll is a lovely looking watch.
-
• #28824
Thanks a lot, but I'll pass. 14 mm is too thick for my likings.
