  • Just the site I believe.

  • Safe riding all. Race hard but let’s have you all home afterwards. Best of luck

  • It's Emily racing this year?

  • Good luck everyone and stay safe
    Alx

  • James already in the lead !!!!

  • guess hippy wasn't kidding about sleeping in g'bergen tonight?

  • So we have some Northern variations?

  • suspect they're north then west along to the rhine valley then all the way south to Basel. Would expect a fair number of riders currently heading southwest to be heading towards the Rhine valley too, albeit on a more direct route.

  • I love seeing the start when riders spread out in different directions!
Same happened last year with a few heading north-east towards Brussels, aiming to pick up the Rhine valley. It saves some climbing but it's a lot longer.

The route I had planned was further west than most of the riders, going into France quite early to dodge the hilly Ardennes. A few km longer but saved a good bit of up and down.

  • Skinny was up over the Muur first, by a significant margin.

    Hippy looking good too

  • Nm, I just hadn’t zoomed in so looked like everyone was in one place still.

  • Hippy is already not updating... his dot is 52 minutes stale already, oh well.

    Great hair though :)

  • Well, there’s nothing that looks like a pub where Hippy’s stopped at.... (tracker off?)

  • wonder where isobel yobling (224) is off to?

  • Surprised by the amount of people that headed north from the start.

  • It's updating again. I assume he's plotted a less hilly route than skinny et al. Or he's already lost again.

  • Björn and James very close together, hoovering up the early goers-for-it, like Stéphane.

  • Matthew Falconer jumped ahead earlier but now seems to have taken a completely different route to everybody else.

  • This is why this race is so great.

  • skinny's now gone past everyone except for Craig Bachelor, who is on a very different route. Björn far behind at the moment (but obviously likely to catch up).

  • Yes, I think it's what I like about the TCR the best.

  • I wonder what cap 150 is up to - he's headed south west and is in on the French side already...

  • interesting that bernd paul and matt falconer (15 & 5) are taking a similar direction. Those guys are experienced - wonder what they've seen in that particular route.

  • 122 and 140 look to be going through bastogne in a really hilly region, with 208 maybe following a similar route. Tough climbing round that way.
