  • A Ben cooper job?

Disc brakes on 16” wheels is overkill... I’m 90kg at best and 100kg currently the tim brakes are plenty. I use discs on everything else.

Oh, belt drive is stupid, and I disagree with rohloffs on bromptons!

  • Don’t know about brakes, be nice to replace just the rotor than a whole wheelbuild every years (base on the average Brompton I’ve serviced).

  • Those mudguards are disgraceful.

I think a Brompton with discs would be good, maybe 140mm rotors. Birdys have discs and they work great. As you said, rims wear out so fast and then wet weather braking where it’s hilly is a bit inadequate for me. Not such a problem in London.

Belt drive seems unnecessary and it looks baggy (likely to get caught/snagged and come away from chainring?)

  • Yeah that’s a ben cooper / kinetics job, looks like a dentists bike...

  • Is that a QA sticker on the chainbeltring?

  • Are those Velocity rims?
