Too expensive! Prices for 650c are even lower than 26". Even if I wasn't living the cheapskate life, I couldn't stomach dropping Β£200 on wheelset for basically a joke bike. Β£20 650c Zipps though... definitely

Super cool! I need a retro Kona... :)

Tires are Continental City rides which are not the fastest thing ever but no complaints otherwise, Bars are surly sunrise which are spectacular, and framebag is a custom done up by a friend.

Is this campagnolo shifters with an sram mtb rear dΓ©railleur? I've seen/read about this previously but still don't really get what the working combination is.

Afaik 10 speed campagnolo shifters with 10 speed sram RD (road/mountain has identical pull) and non-campagnolo cassette is supposed to work. (someone correct me if I'm wrong, haven't had time/shifters to test it myself yet)

Love this!
Toe overlap must be a ball ache though.
I'd have gone for 26" wheels. -

Thanks for providing a source, iirc somebody on here was/is running a similar system which prompted me to look into it a while ago.

Nice one ! What is the frame ? Are these centerpull brakes ?
-
• #1746
YES FAM!
My 46cm Cowbell are amazing.

• #1747
I'd like to try those bars. I've got Cowbells on my touring bike and they're so comfortable.

Really like the look of them too, shame it's not wider than 46cm.
116mm drop, 68mm reach, 24Β° flare angle, 12Β° drop angle
Salsa done it right with the reach on their latest bar too (ditto to Cowbell that went from 76mm to 68mm), much more suitable for those long ass hydraulic brake levers.

I had similar on an old road bike, was light, looked sick and not nearly as noodle-like as youβd expect.

Yeah, it would be noodly if they stick to normal rims, but like Rolf, they build the rims to cope with this, and people always seemed to be surprised when it actually work.
Don't dream it, be it. Spin and Arospok are both available in 559 for all your HHSMTB needs
