South Downs way, end-to-end, TBC

I'll most likely do some kind of ride along the SDW next Saturday. Aiming for early start and getting to Eastbourne, but we'll see.

Has anyone here (or not) done the end to end on a SSCX setup?

No it's literally impossible

Despite reading the whole of this thread a very stubborn voice in my head is telling me to attempt it.

I'm guessing a SS MTB has done it at some point?
I know that's not the same as a 'cross setup. Just wondering if it has been done.

I used to think that. Then i rode it. SSMTB has been done, including the double by some nutters.

yeah, technically it's probably possible, if you walk loads of it
but it would be no fun, there's no point, nobody cares, and you would probably hurt you and your kit

I think Jon might have done it SSCX? But he's mad/inhuman

Cool, if that's the case then I might go for it.
I understand it'd be more manageable on a more suitable bike, that's not really what I'm after.

Probably, if that's ok. Mrs upsidedown is at work but I can't leave the hound for too long, but it's only 25 miles or so right?

I could get down with this, Where does one get the train from? I assume it would be wise to put my bouncy front end back on?

Bounce not mandatory but might be more comfortable.
