Nope, not a joke unfortunately.
I wrote a big long comment but deleted it. The point is, living in modern society is a big fat compromise. I do more than most and it's okay for me (and everyone) to not be perfect all the time, as long as we all collectively do enough to prevent irreversible damage.
(I didn't mean "never fly" and "never drive" etc. - I should have just said reduce)
Edit: I work in a climate change dept. I don't do climate change myself but am doing atmospheric stuff. I am no doubt misinformed about the future of the planet but less so than most I hope.

Yeah, it's just the juxtaposition of your previous dramatic posts "we done fucked it", along with the "don't fly anywhere", "but I'm flying to Nepal" made me wonder.
