To reduce your impact for anyone interested:
- Minimise driving as much as possible
- Minimise flying across continents
- Minimise consumption of beef and dairy
- Minimise consumption of other meat
Very roughly in order of impact. Recycling has a pretty tiny impact (in terms of GHGs, waste of natural resources is a separate problem). But people are often surprised that milk is worse than chicken for example (g CO2 per g protein). And one flight to America is approximately as bad as driving for an entire year.
I've cut out a lot, but am reluctantly giving up veganism for the next month (not enough time and energy to cook for 30 mins every day) and flying to Nepal soon so not so great right now

I sadly put oat milk in my coffee. No matter what the ads say, it doesn't taste the same. That the planet is still being destroyed at the same rate is little comfort. I probably shouldn't be drinking coffee either. Doooomed. We're all doomed.
When the apocalypse comes, I'll maybe toast the burning inferno with a milky coffee as I curse all the profligate fucks that idled their cars in front of the school gates, didn't recycle and voted in climate change deniers.
Did you fly there? Sadly we're all complicit.
