Nothing a (insert random but definitely incorrect tool) won't fix.

I said definitely incorrect. A hammer is ALWAYS the correct tool for the job.
I was thinking something like a pineapple slicer

I'm going to need to fit the new style cleats before this race aren't I? #fuckyouspeedplay

I did change my own disc brake pads in the weekend under the expert tutelage of Ben and Tom at P&L so am getting better at maintenance. Best the brakes have ever been setup. Confident I could now do this roadside. Those Uber bike sintered pads are the mutts.

I'd add a pair of cleat bolts. They're an odd size and although I've never lost one, I rode with a friend who managed to lose one on a tour and had to ride with only one functional pedal (we removed his other cleat) for two days.
As for tools, I've taken a Topeak Hummer (it's got a different name now) as my only tool a few times now and it's never let me down (I've even had to repair a broken chain in the field with it).
Add three spare chain links! -

I just assume people entering TCR know how to do this kind of stuff but the more I see/hear the more I think I'm basically an expert level mechanic. Yay me. Career in F1 awaits.. :P
I've got new pads, I'll put them in tonight maybe so they get a couple of days to bed in, new tyres will go on Thu or Fri. Not sure if I'll swap the chain or just run the one I put on since TABR. The new/lower stem went on last night and I didn't die which is nice. Need to fit all the bags and crap again, at least so they're not all over the lounge, cleats are an ongoing issue, want to install extra seatpost clamp, need to lube pedals (screw you again seedplay), need to swap aerobar clamp after one of the threads stripped, BB is just permanently fucking noisy - it will quiet down when I ride through my first storm/canal/river.

I was thinking pineapple slicer. Just because the photo is of some other pineapple tool doesn't mean I wasn't thinking of the little yellow plastic slicer that my mum had in her kitchen for 40 years and didn't appear to use once...

Ah, a bit like this juicer

Yeah, fully embarrassed I've managed to make it to 40 without ever having a go. Bike shop always seemed like the easier option. Now, I realise I've set them up better than most shops :)

I can only google image search for a pineapple slicer for so long before the boss will stop paying me to post on here.
This is the device I was thinking about:

Nothing to do with pineapples. What's it doing on this forum?

No you got carried away making aero bridges last night.
I still have a few meters left of the overflow pipe.
Tempted to cut it up and sell for 15€ a piece as that appeared to be the going rate

This was a Rotor BB seal...

Removed all banned roads and a few others rerouted, looks like I'm now at 4029 & 45509. The more I play with it, the bigger it gets! :)

Better to have a longer route now than finish and get a penalty.

Share it and I’ll tell you where to look at if you want.
Or just don’t worry about it. -

There are only road warnings and banned tunnels right? No banned roads. (except those illegal to ride anyway).
-
• #1171
Just check the google maps that’s definitive. But always adhere to local rules and law.
-
• #1172
Some of those roads with warnings look horrific.
-
• #1173
I think I know that map by heart by now :) Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss any banned roads (not tunnels). And for road warnings, I'm using some of them for just very short sections to get onto safer roads.

Looking at some of the rider profiles and corresponding Strava profiles. Clement Mahe looks strong. Former French under 23 rider. Some long quick solo hilly training rides.

Ha! The chain is going to do a Penn and Teller and saw it in two if I'm not careful.
