  • I thought about it, but I don't have a garden or anywhere safe to do it - there are lots of dogs and kids and so on walking about - and my girlfriend (who is a chemist) strongly warned against it without gloves and glasses etc. Just took an hour in front of the TV like I said so no big deal. If I was doing a frame or something bigger or significantly more intricate I would use it

  • Previously I put a large heavy ceramic bowl in the sink in front of an open window. I also used pound drain cleaner, as im pretty sure its not a strong concentration. It still does the job slowly, but gets there. However safety first etc

  • Good plan 👍 may try that next time. I burned through a fair bit of my 60 grit sandpaper so maybe Poundland drain cleaner is more economical.

    Probably could do with clearing out some of my drains to be fair too so win-win.
