Well that escalated quickly...

Aston Villa have confirmed that NSWE, a company jointly owned and controlled by businessman Nassef Sawiris’ group NNS and businessman Wes Edens have agreed to invest in the club in a move that will see Dr Tony Xia operate as joint Chairman of the club.

Sawiri is worth £6.6bn - richest Egyptian in the world and Wes Edens is worth £2.2bn. Look forward to Xia leaving completely in due course.

Who knows. Think it's still doubtful as the new investment will sort out running costs, but not sure will help with FFP. A glimmer of hope though...
