Following some advice from a mechanic friend of mine - I realigned (read - stuck an allen key between the cassette and hanger and gently bent).
This has given me access to my lowest gear, now have a slight click on the penultimate one but I'll figure it out!

Arkose owners, anyone owned other .ore 'high end' aluminium disc road framesets? Having a now dedicated gravel bike I'm considering turning the arkose into a dedicated road bike, but have also been tempted by other more road orientated framesets.
Anyone got experience on whether things like Bowmans Pilgrims way or Cannondale Caad12 are actually any better than the arkose for a road steed? I know there is geo and clearance differences but just weighing up options.

I’ve got an Arkose and a caad12 disc.
I do love my Arkose but it’s nothing on the caad for road riding.
The caad is very stiff and a hell of a lot faster for the same effort. -

Mhmm, thought as much. I like the idea of the caad12 but then keep thinking I could do a lot of work to the arkose for the same money, or just drop the cash on something like this: https://www.bike-discount.de/en/buy/cube-attain-gtc-sl-disc-frame-carbon-n-flashyellow-610622
Anyway, I've derailed the pinnacle thread enough.
Here is the Arkose to apologise

That is a paint job...nice work.
I'm not london based unfortunately, but have spotted a previous year frame going cheap in my size...
Edit. What are clearances like out of interest?

Not my doing but thanks!
It’s got 28s on now. Not much room for a lot else but you could squeeze a 30 in probably depending on tyre and wheel specifics

keep it pinnacle with a dolomite frame?
32mm clearance without guards... -

Put a deposit down on a Pinnacle Arkose 4 yesterday! Pity delivery date is going to be September at the earliest apparently 👎

Does anyone know if the rims that come with the lithium can be run tubeless?
-
• #88
wondering if i can use some parts i've got laying around for my incoming lithium commuter
install praxis m30 bb and use my praxis cranks + n/w 36t chainring - this should work
add a SRAM PG1130 36th cassette - the freehub states it will take 8/9/10 speed and 11s MTB - does the SRAM PG1130 work for this?
Further - will the Alivio shifters on this bike work with that cassette?
Convert wheels to tubeless - how much of a PITA will this be?
Add rear dynamo light to compliment the front
Add 'guards -what works best for 42mm tires?

That one you were looking at is back on eBay btw
Edit: oh sounds like you bought one already!

Don’t know, can find out.

can get one new for a pretty good price after realising my life insurance policy pays cashback on evans purchases!
think this could be a really fun project to turn a fairly run of the mill bike into something cool
Don’t know, can find out.
cheers Ed.

45mm might be tight but can fit with 42mm tyres, best to look for mudguard that’s between 50-55mm wide.
If it’s 10 speed, maybe a 11-42t perhaps? Might need those dropout extender.

This thread suggest the cassette will fit - but will the shifter work with it?
Shifters are Alivio SL-M4000 3 x 9...

the bike comes with 50mm tires but i'll need to ditch those to fit guards so i'll definitely get some 42mm semi slicks

update on lithium bits
sourced some a SRAM NX1 shifter and NX1 rear mech. Will use this along with a n/w chainring, praxis cranks and a praxis bb.
Should drop a bit of weight and make the bike a bit simpler to ride.

Just received a text saying my Arkose has been delivered to store. Excited to try it out!
-
• #97
Deliver but not build up yet just to clarify!

That sound pretty awesome and sound like an old school MTB style.

Hoping I can run a rear dynamo light cable internally where the front mech cable used to be and mount it to the seat stay. We'll see if it's long enough.
I'm assuming that short steam and wide bars is still cool for relaxed road riding (basically just commuting)
60mm mudguards on the way and will fit some tubeless g one speed 50mm once the stock tires need to be replaced.
Long term, might get some 650b wheels to replace the 700c for more cushioning but not in any hurry for that.

will 650b get you any benefit here? You're already got clearance for bigger than 2" on 29", wouldn't think 27.5" will allow a significantly bigger tyres?
Sound like the following;
