  • Yeah I'd be up for a beer. I'll be staying at a friend's in Reading on the Friday night so will be about. Hoping for a sub-5 hour time but not done the route before so nav+weather might slow me down.

    if you have a fairly recent gps watch look into getting the route onto it for navigation. it's complicated enough that you can get lost in some section easily, I was saved a couple of times by my watch telling me i was off course as i'd missed a marker. my fr935 worked really well last year.

    Alas, see my previous posts on TomTom woes. I have installed RunGo on my phone which the organisers reccommend and have last year's route to play with. Hopefully that will be enough!

    your phone should work fine it'll just be a bit more cumbersome is all.

    last year was their first time so hopefully the signage will be a bit clearer this time, one guy i know did over 3 extra miles from getting lost
