if you have a fairly recent gps watch look into getting the route onto it for navigation. it's complicated enough that you can get lost in some section easily, I was saved a couple of times by my watch telling me i was off course as i'd missed a marker. my fr935 worked really well last year.
Yeah I need to get on the home made electrolyte drink, save some pennies. I've used Tailwind in the past for events but for training runs I need to keep the cost down.

@Pifko - Oh yeah I'm not complaining at all. Great weather. Must be nice down on the beach? I have been trialling not eating on long runs recently, partly because I normally have a good breakfast if I know I'm heading out but also hoping to train endurance relying on my energy stores without having to eat much extra. No idea if it's a scientifically sound approach, one less thing to think about :)
