@Aroogah, was it you who had good things to say about Lake mtb shoes? I really need to get my foot comfort sorted, if I'm to stand any chance of finishing this.

Yes. Lake are great, especially if you have wide feet.

Custom foodbeds will make as big a difference as the shoes though.
