wah! discovered the tandem has bent forks! was too busy building and sorting to notice. wrote to ebayer, doubt that will help, doubt he had anything to do with the damage but good to get my annoyance off my chest. after much swearing clamping, spannering (13" of precision), a disappointing call to a bike shop, some youtubing and eventually just attacking them, they are now a crucial 5mm less bent than they were previously -- wait, is this the wrong thread for this? --anyhoo "cold-set".
