Next week is the final week, so it's the 2-up which is supposed to be fun rather than serious - i.e. last year some riders did it on Santander bikes.

Ah disaster! Thanks for the heads up. All sorted for 10sp hub conversion too, the man to speak to is Gary Fodden!

For a flat course you could just ditch the largest sprocket and use spacers to take up the remaining space.

Can you name an 11-speed cassette which has a separate largest sprocket?
-
• #18311
Miche make seperate sprockets - I’ve got one.

• #18312
Not that there's anything wrong with binning all 3 of the biggest sprockets and their carrier to create a close ratio 8-speed :)

Miche
lol.
Pedantry aside, I meant one you'd actually want to use :)

For 25 quid seems like milling the cassette is a good solution! Will update how it goes

Next week is our two up and Boris Bike night, but I am sure you would be welcome...

You don't need to do that though, you can take out a 'middle' cog, kinda like I did when adapting my 11spd cassette to 10spd to cope with the Raltech cover and then space the cassette over.

It's true that when I set the quiz, I was expecting the answer to be Marchisio or maybe something from the depths of OEM land, but well done for coming up with a correct answer which wasn't on the marking guide 🙂
