  • Need to get some better photos but my cdf has had some subtle changes. Mainly the fork. I had a crash and then my left shifter failed so had to cough up for a new one, bike was out of action for a couple of months (found an oem shifter from Taiwan new on eBay for £105 posted, trade from madison it would have been over £200 with vat. Ridiculous.

Been doing a lot more riding this year working on getting some fitness again which is good, this bike absolutely flies - had been riding my road bike while this was out of action and have to say, 23c sucks for riding in Yorkshire. Not much will change aside from needs new bar tape soon and almost time for c&s again.

Also needs new bearings for rear hub, anyone have this model and know what cartridge size/code I need?

Was looking at some hope hoops but just don’t have the money, and in around 5000 miles the stock wheels have never let me down.

  • looks awesome.

really irritating to me that all the 105 cranks seem to scrape up in this same way. those gravelkings in 35c?

    what qrs do you use?

  • Cheers. Tbh crank rub doesn’t really bother me, happens on all my bikes. I’m not too precious. They’re 32c GKs, they’re from before they did 35s but I switch tyres about on this bike. The QRs are from Shimano Deore hubs, if you’re not bothered about weight or bling I don’t think they can be beaten.

  • Sorry to hear about the crash, hope you came off okay. How's the Wound Up compared, almost worth crashing for? Hate stuff like that with the shifter, unlikely you'll find a 2nd hand one quickly so forced to pay the high price although sounds like you did okay.

  • Looks good man. Such function. Black cambium would finish it off nicely.

  • WoundUp disc fork? Sweeet. Build looks really sweet right now!

  • Funny actually, I had a high speed crash and got away with grazes/bruises then had a low speed crash in the woods and knackered my shoulder - nothing that won’t heal in time.

Downside of running road hydro, if anything goes wrong it costs. Really missed riding the bike though so totally worth it.

Forks are Bontrager wound up knock offs. Ride really well, just like the woundups on my road bike. I’m a big fan. I actually wanted a whisky fork but too much money, after running the straggler fork for a while it’s really livened up the ride.

@PhilDAS aye black all weather would be perfect but already own 3 slate ones.

  • New bag for the Equilibrium, yet to use in anger but looks like it will do the trick for commuting duties.

  • Readers, mostly sourced from on here ( @garbles for the sora 3x9 group, @bg2 for frame and wheels).

Had a place on the TCR, but job changes means there’s an opportunity to do something bigger - so this is set up for traversing the USA.

Topeak DX rack, sport contacts, some improvised bottle cages on the forks, brand x carbon seatpost, spyres, hover expert bars.

  • Sold my equilibrium and high latitude 29er to make space for new bikes, one of which is this high latitude lt.

I do like the 650b bike, but miss having a 29er.

  • Nice, any more pics? How do you find it off road with the 32's?

I've pretty much got mine dialed in now for commuting and am really happy with it, the weight is my only complaint. It's a tank.

  • It was great, I'm not one for gravel mostly, so still taking it easy.. Its great on the compacted stuff but bounces about a bit on the larger stones. Mine is 9.9kg the way it sits with 1x11 and hydro brakes.. I do swear by tubeless setups with tyres, def helps them roll better..

  • What weight is that? also what rear bag setup is that? Mine will be a do it all bike.. I have a day-one for commuting, and this for the odd windy commute and weekend ride..

  • I haven't weighed it. Claimed weight on their site is 10.28kg but it doesn't say what size that refers too. Mine is an L and bar saddle/stem/pedals/guards I haven't changed anything from OTP.

The bag is a Carradice SQR Tour which in itself adds 1297 grams (empty)to the bike. It's great though, doesn't move and feels really secure. Good size for commuting too.

  • I would ride my day one to work, which with my bags on was 17.2kg. I use an Alpkit front bar bag for clothes and a rear chinaland saddle bag for lunch, spares etc..
