A reduction in faffing, not in weeing. My puncture didn't help things though - I'm honest enough to admit that.

Would be quite happy to do it at a faster pace.

I think like you said Bruce it's more about spending less time stopped than going faster per se. I don't know the figure but we spent a *lot *of time stopped.
I think spybot was also talking about doing it 'backwards' this year. This would provide a change for those of us that did it before, but also mean that we'd have more chance of getting all the way round, as the trains run about half an hour later on the Essex side (23.2X) than on the Dartford side (23.00).

I'd defo give it another try this year....
Still think back to the day and it was one the the best cycling days last year and a full circuit would definetly imporve that feeling.
I'm now riding fixed and not singlespeed should possibly be the improvement i needs..... -

Rode round, well mainly outside the M25, anti clockwise yesterday in the blazing sun.
Took the route from a fellow forumager.
Differs from the official forum route in the fact that it a doesn't weave in and out as much. It's lovely. All on road. Some lovely lanes. If you are looking at riding this, don't, as I did, ride on the North Orbital. There's a bike lane on the other side of the carriage way. Give it a go, an easy introduction to your (and mine) first 300.
